Junior Golf
Southwick Golf Course offers a
unique opportunity for young golfers to learn the " game of a lifetime".
Twice a year, we offer two, three day junior golf camps. Boy and
girls, ages 8 to 17, are eligible to attend regardless of skill level.
Each student will receive 15 hours of supervised instruction by veteran PGA
Professionals Mark Hopkins, Jack Lewis and Mike Long.

first 24 enrolled students.

Registration Fee: $150.00
Itinerary:
Day 1 - 9am to noon, Southwick Golf Course,
short game

1pm to 3pm, on-course rules and etiquette
Day 2 - 9am to noon, Southwick Golf

** Camp fees cover break time refreshments and lunch for each student for each
day. Camp fee includes tournament fee and awards.

2008 Junior Golf Tournaments

Feb. 21, 2008 Graham, NC.......................... The Amateur
Athletic Union announced today that they have awarded Southwick Golf Course
the 2008 Junior State Golf Championship. The tournament will be held on
Saturday and Sunday, June 21 & 22 with tee times starting at 11am.
Outstanding junior golfers from all over the
state of North Carolina will be converging on Southwick for the right to
represent NC at one of two National Championships. For junior boy golfers, age
13 &14 and under, there will be 6 spots available for the National Championship
. Six spots will also be awarded to the 11 & 12 age group,
the 9 & 10 age group and the 8 and under age group. There will be an equal
number of spots for the girls in those age groups.
Juniors boy golfers, age 15 to 16, will have 6 spots available for the
national limelight in Pinehurst, NC. There will also be 6 spots for junior
boys age 17 to 19. Once again, girls will have the equal number of spots
available in the older age groups.
To qualify for the NC AAU Junior Golf Championship, players must compete in
one of the upcoming Triad Golf Today Junior Tour events in either April or May.

Only the top 50 ranked boys and top 50 ranked girls
according the Carolina Golf Association will be exempt for the tournament.
