The Alamance County Church Golf League
will resume its' normal schedule in July ( normally the second half).
The new directors of the league announced some exciting changes that
will enhance participation in 2008. The league was slated to
begin on Tuesday, May 6th with a practice round. The
changes made for 08 are smaller, more personal teams. The
teams will be composed of two players with two substitutes.
Players will play their own ball and NET scores will determine the
team winners. Team members will not play together in 08.
Players will be paired with like handicap players from other teams.
There will be four(4), three week quarters this year.
At the end of each quarter a champion will be crowned. At
the end of the season, these four different church team winners
will square-off in match play to determine the regular season
championship. As always, we will conduct an 18 hole
finale' on a Saturday with prizes, awards, food and contests.
